After failing to acquire him when the Chicago Bulls shopped him during the NBA Draft this past summer, the Washington Wizards are once again seeking a trade that would see them acquire All-Star forward Luol Deng. The team Deng is with is different, as he’s with the Cleveland Cavaliers now, but the objective for the Wizards is the same — acquire Deng.

According to Marc Stein from ESPN.com, the Wizards are trying to land Deng from the Cavaliers before the deadline passes.

Cleveland has already made a trade on Thursday, acquiring Spencer Hawes from the Philadelphia 76ers but it’s still questionable as to whether they’re open to business or not. The Cavs may elect to try and grow their roster as a unit the sec on half of the season, but it’s also possible that the Cavs grow that roster sans Deng.
