The NBA trade deadline is this afternoon which means that we’re reaching the 11th hour when it comes to teams being able to pull off deals. While there have already been trades, from as far back as the Rudy gay trade to as recently as the Kings-Nets trade on Wednesday, but there may be more in store.

NBA teams don’t have all day to sit around and ponder deals though, as there is hard deadline that cuts off all trade chatter this afternoon. Not many fans know exactly when it is, but with all the dates to remember in the NBA you can’t blame yourself.

The NBA trade deadline will be passing at 3pm ET as that’s the hard deadline that the league has set and will be sticking to this year. Every deal that is in the works prior needs to be agreed upon by the deadline or they don’t go through. However, deals will still be announced after 3pm ET on Thursday because deals literally go to the very final second.

It’s an exciting rush to watch the deadline pass, as like most special occasions it only comes once a year and it’s a total thrill to watch the frantic nature of the NBA trade machine working at full steam.
