Minnesota Vikings’ franchise running back Adrian Peterson fell short of Eric Dickerson‘s single season rushing mark in 2012 and was hoping to shatter the record in 2013. That didn’t happen.
Even though he had himself another 1,000 plus rushing yard year, he was hit with a couple of injuries. He dealt with a hamstring, groin and ankle injury aside from the tragic loss of his young son at the beginning of the year.
Peterson was listed doubtful during the regular season finale/final home game for the Vikings. Now according to Tom Pelissero on Twitter, head coach Mike Zimmer says that Peterson is currently doing great and is on track for April’s minicamp.
Just talked to #Vikings coach Mike Zimmer. Said Adrian Peterson is doing great in recovery, should be ready for April minicamp.

Adrian underwent groin surgery on January 23rd and new offensive coordinator Norv Turner is very excited to work with him. If Peterson is going to break Dickerson’s regular season record, it’ll be in 2014.
