The Philadelphia 76ers are int he process of deciding whether or not to agree to Danny Granger’s request to be bought out and released. While there are cons like Granger losing his Bird Rights and the Sixers losing him as a summer sign-and-trade chip, it’s looking like Granger will be allowed to sign with a contender before March 1st.
According to Shams Charania from RealGM, Granger will likely be deciding on signing with the Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers, San Antonio Spurs or Dallas Mavericks when he’s bought out.
Should he get buyout to become free agent, Danny Granger will likely decide among Heat, Clippers, Bulls, Spurs, Mavs, sources tell RealGM.

The Bulls, Clippers and Mavericks are all new names to this list, as Granger is already drawing interest from the Heat and Spurs.
He hasn’t been bought out yet, and needs to be if he’s going to be sign somewhere and make all of these talks relevant. But there’s a good chance he’s bought out and at that point, the Granger sweepstakes begin.
