When Glen “Big Baby” Davis was officially bought out by the Orlando Magic  Friday, the Los Angeles Clippers immediately showed interest.

Clippers’ head coach Doc Rivers coached Davis with the Celtics when both were in Boston.

On Monday, Davis officially reunited with Rivers when he signed with the Clippers.

Although Davis has joined the team, he won’t play Monday when the Clippers take on the New Orleans Pelicans and will instead likely make his debut Wednesday when the Clippers return home to take on the Houston Rockets.

"Glen Davis arrived at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans after signing with the Los Angeles Clippers but will not play Monday night against the Pelicans. The Clippers say Davis will take a required physical exam Tuesday and should play Wednesday at home against the Houston Rockets.Davis, 28, reached a buyout with the Orlando Magic on Friday and was waived. The Brooklyn Nets had also shown interest in Davis, but decided to sign Jason Collins, feeling that they were out of the running on Davis."

Davis averaged 12.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game for the Magic this season.
