Late Monday night, a report surfaced that New York Knicks’ point guard Raymond Felton was being questioned for “allegedly pointing a gun at a woman.” Soon after, Felton was arrested on three weapons charges.
The NBA, who usually isn’t quick to suspend players, won’t suspend Felton right now and instead will see how the situation plays out.
NBA spokesman Tim Frank says of the Raymond Felton arrest: "We're monitoring the situation."

Important point: NBA does not generally discipline players charged with crimes until the legal process has played out.

NBA did suspend Gilbert Arenas before legal process played out. Key difference: Arenas brought guns into an NBA locker room.

And, as my friend @jadande points out, Stern had refrained until Arenas decided to mock the case with his pregame finger-guns display.

This is a very serious situation, but there is still a chance Felton did nothing wrong and the league does not want to punish Felton if that is the case so so they will let the legal process play out.
