The NFL Draft is right around the corner in May and the Combine in Indianapolis is putting the incoming class under a microscope. From rigorous drills to endless meetings with teams, the prospects coming into the draft this year are starting separate themselves and teams are starting to narrow down interests.
While Blake Bortles is a players teams are narrowing down, the number of franchises interested in him can hardly be considered as such. According to the New York Post, as well as ESPNNewYork, the Buccaneers, Vikings and Jaguars are among a slew of teams to have met with the UCF star with interest in drafting him.
"According to the report, the Texans, Rams, Jaguars, Raiders, Vikings, Buccaneers and Titans also spoke with Bortles, who is unlikely to be available when the Jets select with the 18th pick in the first round."
The report in the Post stemmed from supposed interest that the New York Jets have in Bortles, although it’s very clear he’ll likely be gone well before the Jets get on the clock. Either way, there’s undeniable interest there for the UCF star.
