NBA Rumors: Danny Granger not drawing much interest, GMs think he’s ‘done’
By Josh Hill
When a big name free agent is about to hit the open market, fans and analysts go nuts with speculation about where he’ll land. Let’s be honest, it’s what helps keep sports fresh as hearing about your team grabbing an interesting player is something that helps generate conversation, even if it’s only that and nothing more.
Danny Granger has seen his name attached to a slew of teams since word got out that he’s finalizing a buyout with the Philadelphia 76ers, but not everyone is buying the hype. Despite reports from ESPN, NBA.com and other, Sam Amico from FOXSports passes along word that NBA GMs aren’t as high on Granger as we all have been hearing.
It’s hard to read the Granger situation, but it’s also hard to believe that no one would have interest. This particular GM could be from a team that indeed has zero interest in Granger, but it’s hardly something that can be considered consensus.
So far the Clippers, Heat, Spurs and Thunder have been mentioned with Granger and until they start denying interest, it’s safe to assume it’s there.
