The NFL Draft is just around the corner and with it will come rumors about teams wanting to trade up or trade down from their current positions. One team that has made a trade are the Indianapolis Colts, but many are looking to see if they’ll make another one.
After trading away their first-round pick to acquire Trent Richardson, fans and analysts are wondering if the team will trade back into the first-round to take a top prospect. Colts blogger Mike Wells disagrees with this notion, stating that the Colts won’t be moving up to sacrifice picks in a deep draft.
"Grigson didn’t rule it out, but I’d say it’s unlikely that happens because this draft is so deep. I could see the Colts doing everything possible to try to get into the first round if this was considered a weak draft class. That’s not the case, so they’ll likely stick in their current position in the second round."
It’s still early too tell if the Colts will be doing anything but it appears that they’ll more than likely be standing pat and picking where they are. They could move up, but the draft is deep and the Colts don’t have to move up unless they’re compelled to — which they don’t seem to be.
