The draft stock of Buffalo linebacker Khalil Mack continues to rise, as not only did he impress at the Scouting Combine in late February, but he just turned in an epic Pro Day that has scouts and analysts all over the country dropping their jaws.
According to Adam Schefter — who wasn’t at the Pro day but is passing along the information — Mack ran a 4.45 40-yard dash for scouts in Buffalo.

That’s an insane time for a linebacker to run as it’s faster than every single quarterback who ran in the combine and is up there with some of the receivers than ran as well. This virtually solidifies Mack as the top linebacker in the class as his speed is literally off the charts for his position.
There are still some who prefer UCLA linebacker Anthony Barr to Mack, but his fast 40-time is going to make it hard to pass on him as you don’t get any more versatile as a potential pass rusher than being faster than the guys you’re rushing.
