On Tuesday, Boston Celtics’ rookie big man Kelly Olynyk returded two the practice court.
On Wednesday, Olynyk took part in a game, playing against the Golden State Warriors after missing two games with a toe injury. Olynyk came off of the bench and played 27 minutes. He had 19 points on six-of-12 shooting from the field, three-of-six-shooting from beyond the arc and a perfect four-of-four shooting from the charity stripe.
Despite an excellent performance out of the rookie (it was his second straight big game – he had 21 points, eight rebounds and four assists in a 110-98 to the Utah Jazz on February 24), the Celtics were blown out by the Warriors 108-88.
However, the final score and Olynyk’s excellent game weren’t the talk in the locker room. Instead, it was Olynyk’s awesome tie-dye wolf shirt.
What fashion.
Olynyk, the 13th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, is averaging 7.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
