New England Patriots inside linebacker Brandon Spikes is headed towards free agency. He ended the season on injury reserve with a knee injury that fortunately didn’t require surgery, but it has left teams the could potentially sign him with some doubts.
Patriots LB Brandon Spikes also says on @NFL_AM he's fully healthy. "I'm good, I'm 100 percent." Ended season on IR w/knee injury.

And if Patriots fans were hoping he’d re-sign with the team, they appear headed towards a split.
Patriots LB Brandon Spikes says on @NFL_AM of free agency that "Both sides [he/Patriots] could benefit from a fresh start."

The Patriots and Spikes haven’t been reportedly communicating anyways. From the Boston Herald:
"The two sides haven’t spoken about a new deal this offseason, according to a source. So, unless something drastically changes, Spikes’ days with the Patriots are over. He’ll hit free agency March 11."
