NFL Free Agency 2014: Jacksonville Jaguars sign Red Bryant to four-year deal
By Josh Hill
The first ‘deal’ of the free agent tampering period has been made less than four hours into the period as the Jacksonville Jaguars have dipped into their deep pockets to reach an agreement with a former Seattle Seahawks defensive end. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jaguars have agreed to terms with defensive end Red Bryant.
Bryant will be reuniting with his old defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, who is the head coach of the Jaguars, and his agreement marks the firs deal of the free agent tampering period. The deal won’t have to wait until Tuesday to be finalized though as Bryant was eligible to sign with whoever he wanted due to the fact that he was let go by the Seattle Seahawks prior to free agency starting.
That just means the Jaguars are entering free agency with one major addition under their belt, and they have the cap room add plenty more.
