It is no secret that there is a disconnect between the Tennessee Titans and running back Chris Johnson. A report from Pro Football Talk, says the Titans will soon begin attempting to trade Johnson.

The Tennessean’s Jim Wyatt reported on Saturday that the Titans were gauging trade interest for Johnson, so planning to move forward by actually trading him is the logical next step. Apparently a market has emerged.
I suspect the #Titans are gauging trade interest for RB Chris Johnson. Not sure how successful they'll be with expectation he'll be released

For what it is worth, Ian Rapoport confirmed the report.
Yup. They will try, then will likely release him. RT @LGidcumb32: @RapSheet is there truth to the Titans trading CJ?
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 9, 2014
What @ProFootballTalk said is correct: The #Titans are going to shop Chris Johnson. Due $8M this year, going to be difficult.

But announcing that you’ll release him if you can’t trade him isn’t a great strategy.
