Chicago Fire Player Ratings

Sean Johnson 2

Four saves and a punch but it just wasn’t enough.

Bakary Soumare 1

Goat of the match for failing to mark Bobby Burling in the 88th despite 13 clearances and nine recoveries.

Jhon Kennedy Hurtado 2

10 clearances and five recoveries. Decent with passing (14 successful, 2 unsuccessful) but nothing other that.

Gonzalo Segares 1.5

Four interceptions, five clearances and a costly takedown in the box that saw Chivas go up ahead near the hour mark. Also earns a deduction for a yellow.

Lovel Palmer 2

12 clearances, five tackles won and four recoveries, but Palmer conceded two corners, as well as committed 11 unsuccesful passes.

Alex 2

23 successful passes against nine unsuccessful one and just five recoveries. Could have scored in the second but his attempt in the 64th was denied.

Dilly Duka 3

Earns a deduction for a yellow and five unsuccessful crosses, but he did have 10 recoveries, six tackles won and four clearances.

Benji Joya 5.5

Man of the match for Chicago. A young man with potential and promise, scoring in the 64th minute and making the most of his time for the Fire. Won’t be long before he starts, one would imagine. He does earn a deduction for a yellow, however.

Patrick Nyarko 1.5

Seven successful passes…to go with 10 unsuccessful passes? That won’t impress this rater, you can be sure of that. Nyarko also had four clearances and four recoveries.

Jeff Larentowicz 3.5

Four clearances, five recoveries and 36 successful passes against 10 unsuccessful ones.

Chris Rolfe 2.5

Seven recoveries for Rolfe, but he also struggled with his passing (18 successful, 13 unsuccessful).

Quincy Amarikwa 5

Gets credit for helping Chicago put the match on level terms in the second half and also had a 90 percent pass success rate despite just 10 touches.

Juan Luis Anangono 3

Five recoveries to go with good passing stats (13 successful, just one unsuccessful) and a successful flick-on, but couldn’t get a shot off to help the Fire in Carson.

Logan Pause NR

Came into the game late, no rating given.
