NFL Rumors: Aqib Talib close to deal with Patriots
By Greg Smith
The cornerback market is looking pretty cluttered right now but the Patriots are looking to hold onto one of theirs.
Reports are out that New England is close to re-signing CB Aqib Talib:
The Redskins are said to be offering more money but right now it looks like he will be staying in New England. He has ties to people within Washington’s organization, having played for secondary coach Raheem Morris while in Tampa Bay, and Redskins General Manager Bruce Allen drafted Talib when he held the same position with the Buccaneers in 2008.
He is believed to be seeking a contract in the $8-$10 million per season range.
