Texas A&M Aggies wide receiver Mike Evans is one of the more coveted commodities in this May’s NFL Draft. After a strong performance at the NFL Scouting Combine, the 6-5, 230-pound prospect has been pegged by many as a sure fire top-10 pick. According to NFL.com, they spoke to Evans and he’ll be meeting soon with one of the teams in the top-10, as well as a playoff contender in the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles respectively.

With Sammy Watkins considered to be the first wide receiver taken, there’s a very good possibility that Evans will be there for the Lions to get a crack at as the team picks 10th. They’ve been looking for a complement to Calvin Johnson, and the powerful Evans may fit that bill to perfection.

The Eagles, on the other hand, would more than likely need to trade up to get Evans, if they become that serious about him. There’s no doubt that he would be a great addition to help in the progression of the Chip Kelly offense with Nick Foles at the helm, but at this point, the Lions would seem like the more possible scenario for Evans.
