The market for offensive tackles seems to be drying up before free agency even officially opens this afternoon. Rodger Saffold appears to be the only name left as the dust settling on the tackle market shows that Eugene Monroe, Branden Albert, Anthony Collins and Jared Veldheer are about to find new homes.

According to Jason La Canfora from CBSSports.com, the Cardinals basically have a deal done with Veldheer in the wake of deals for Monroe, Albert and Collins with other teams.

The Buccaneers, Ravens and Dolphins don’t have official deals with any of their tackles yet but that’s all expected to happen when free agency officially opens this afternoon. Veldheer was increasingly becoming an option for the Cardinals in recent days and his landing on Bruce Arians offensive line is of little surprise.

Arizona would have liked to double up on offensive lineman and that may still be the case. Depending on how much money they’re set to give Veldheer, they could make a similar run at guard Rodger Saffold as well.
