After being cut by three teams in less than a year, kicker Dan Carpenter settled nicely into a role with the Buffalo Bills last season that saw him put up his most productive year as a pro. After missing his first kick attempt with the Bills, Carpenter finished the 2013 season 33 for 36 on field goals with six of them coming from the 50+ yard range.

With Carpenter having success with Buffalo in 2013, it seemed likely that the Bills were going to want to bring him back into the fold. Well, it appears as that is what is going to happen.

According to a report from Rand Getlin, Carpenter boarded a flight from South Florida to Buffalo Tuesday morning. The reason for flying up to Buffalo (the day before a major snowstorm hits the area, no less) is likely to re-sign with the team to be its kicker heading into training camp in July.

The signing is expected to come just after 4pm when free agents can officially sign with their teams.
