After spending his first five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, cornerback Mike Jenkins joined the Oakland Raiders in 2013.
After a year with the Raiders, Jenkins is now a free agent and as teams look to do anything they can to slow down the elite quarterbacks in the league, Jenkins could become a hot commodity.
According to Mike Jurecki of Fox Sports 910 in Phoenix, the Arizona Cardinals are interested in signing Jenkins.
The Cardinals are in need of depth at cornerback and could use Jenkins to improve a defense that is already very good.
The Cardinals are probably hoping they can get Jenkins as a bargain, but after Sam Shields signed his deal with the Green Bay Pacers, it is clear that corners will be a priority in free agents.
However, the Cardinals could possibly sweep in while others concerns themselves with the likes of Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie.
Jenkins had 65 tackles and two interceptions last season.
