On Tuesday morning, a report surfaced that former Baltimore Ravens’ defensive lineman Arthur Jones was working out a deal with the Indianapolis Colts.

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the deal is nearly done and Jones is in fact joining the Colts.

The deal is reportedly worth $6-7 million annually.

The Colts are one of a few lucky teams that has not had to give a big time quarterback a big money contract because of Andrew Luck’s immediate success (the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks have also been in this position with Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson). This has allowed to Colts to be active, which is why they can go out and get guys like Jones and why they are probably far from done being major players in free agents.

Jones was a fifth round pick by the Ravens in 2010. He quickly proved his worth and earned playing time.

Last season, Jones had 53 tackles and 4.0 sacks.
