Something is going to happen with Darrelle Revis in Tampa Bay and it’s going to happen by 4pm ET. That’s when the Buccaneers owe Revis a $1.5 million roster bonus and would need to send a third-round pick to New York Jtes to complete the trade for a guy they’re releasing.
One of the most likely landing spots for Revis is with the New England Patriots, but those expecting a trade might be a little bummed out to find out that one likely will not be happening.
It’s unlikely that anyone will trade for regis at this point as the Buccaneers are going to cut him before 4pm ET and he’ll likely be able to be had for much less than his current $16 million annual salary.
That doesn’t count the Patriots out of the running, but it does mean that the team won’t be giving up assets to get Revis at his current price.
