Los Angeles Galaxy Player Ratings

Jaime Penedo 10

Man of the Match for three big saves that won the first 90 minutes for the Galaxy.

A.J. DeLaGarza 7

Five interceptions, three clearances, four recoveries and a 75 percent pass success rate.

Omar Gonzalez 6

Gets a deduction for a yellow and nearly costing Los Angeles a victory. Only major stat: eight recoveries. The coldstreak continues.

James Riley 6.5

Three recoveries and 33 successful passes. Did concede three corners, which is not good.

Leonardo 7.5

Best defender on the night. Eight recoveries, six clearances, five interceptions and 28 successful passes against just six unsuccessful ones. Rock-solid shift.

Landon Donovan 6

Five recoveries but not making the grade with the crosses (6/13) or the passes (29/49). Tijuana did their homework on Donovan and neutralized him. The Xolos will need to do that again at home.

Juninho 7.5

Good shift from Juninho. 11 lay offs, seven recoveries, and a strong pass success rate (45/51). Crosses will need work, but this was a good performance from Juninho on the night.

Marcelo Sarvas 7.5

Earns a deduction for a yellow, but Marcelo Sarvas gets credit for a game-winning assist. He also stood tall in terms of passing (32/39) and had four recoveries.

Gyasi Zardes 6.5

Zardes was a recovery machine with 11 recoveries, but his grade is lowered due to inconsistent passing (14/27) and two unsuccessful crosses…and a yellow card.

Samuel 7.5

Get a bonus for the match-winner but needs to work on his passing (7/16), flick ons (1/4) and crosses (0/3).

Robbie Keane 8

Good passing consistency (30/35) and also had a couple recoveries. Unlucky to have a couple of blocked shots and unsuccessful crosses each, but this was a better effort on the night.

Stefan Ishizaki 4

Ishizaki needs more minutes to show what he can really do. For now, it’s garbage time, but if he gets more minutes, fans will see how good Ishizaki really is.

Baggio Husidic NR

Came into the game late, no rating given.
