The Minnesota Vikings had one of the worst defenses in the entire NFL in 2013. With a new defensive minded head coach in Mike Zimmer, the team is starting to add pieces on that side of the ball.
Earlier in the day Minnesota signed cornerback Captain Munnerlyn, and now they have added corner Derek Cox to the mix. Per Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union Tribune:
Derek Cox has a new home. Former Chargers cornerback has agreed to a one-year deal with the Vikings, source said.

The Chargers signed Cox to a four-year, $20 million deal exactly one year ago. Unfortunately 2013 was a total bomb for Cox, forcing San Diego to cut bait and release him earlier this month. Prior to that stint Cox looked like a great corner as a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2009-2012. He will look to get back on track with Minnesota on a show-me deal next season.
