The New England Patriots have struck gold in the defensive back market for the second time in as many nights as Ian Rapoport is reporting that the team has come to an agreement with free agent cornerback Brandon Browner for two years.

This signing comes right on the heels of the team reaching an agreement late Wednesday night with free agent Darrelle Revis, so these two together basically fills all the needs that the Patriots needed in the secondary.

However, as Rapoport stated above, Browner must serve a four-game suspension to begin the 2014 regular season, but will be good to go after that and the Patriots have become that much more dangerous.

Now the question becomes who really are the winners of free agency this week in the AFC. Is it the Denver Broncos or is it now the Pats, who still are reportedly working on more pieces.

It’ll be fun to find out on the field, that’s for sure.
