The Pittsburgh Steelers watched defensive end Ziggy Hood bolt for the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday morning, which left the team with a big need along the defensive front. In order to begin their search for a replacement, the Steelers have reached out to free agent Alex Carrington, who will visit with the Steelers on Thursday night.
From Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network:
Former #Bills DE Alex Carrington is going to visit the #Steelers tonight, per source. They are really interested, just lost Ziggy Hood.

Carrington, who is a great fit along the 3-4 front, is also drawing interest from the Cleveland Browns and St. Louis Rams.
