The Minnesota Vikings are in the market to make their offense better — likely through the draft — but they did make a signing on Friday. Staying in-house, the Vikings have re-signed wide receiver Jerome Simpson.

He wasn’t always the most productive receiver for the Vikings, but he’s being given yet another chance. His deal is a chance he likely won’t pass up, as not only is his time with the Vikings limited, but he’s not gaining a ton of interest around the league.
One good season can change all of that though. Simpson has to bet that this upcoming year could be his year, as a new quarterback could mean an increase in production and that would mean more looks for Simpson.
He’s been hindered by the fact the Vikings have no quarterback to throw to him, but once they find one it’ll be up to him to stand out.
