The New York Jets may be getting themselves a Cromartie, but not the one that many expected as free agent defensive back Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is scheduled to meet with the team soon, according to a report from Adam Schefter.
After not being able to bring back former star Darrelle Revis, who ended up taking a lucrative deal with the New England Patriots, the Jets are in search of some help in the secondary, especially after they released Antonio Cromartie last week, the cousin of Rodgers-Cromartie.
It was speculated that the Jets may make a run at bringing Antonio back, but that seems a bit unlikely at this point.
Two days ago, Rodgers-Cromartie’s former team, the Denver Broncos, pulled their offer sheet to him after the signing of Aqib Talib, making him available to test the market fully.
