
The Seattle Seahawks were going to start facing difficult decisions about their stacked roster immediately after their Super Bowl victory this season. Guys are reaching the ends of team-friendly deals and franchise players will be up for extensions soon. As such, pieces of this mega-talented roster are going to start being distributed around the league.
One such player is cornerback Walter Thurmond, who indicated that he was not in the Seahawks’ future plans earlier this week. Now the 26-year-old corner has signed a deal with the New York Giants (according to Adam Schefter of ESPN):
The Jacksonville Jaguars and San Francisco 49ers were among the other teams interested in Thurmond, who will help plug one of the many, many holes on the New York Giants’ defense.
