Denver Broncos general manager John Elway is like a kid in a candy store these days. He just crossed off nearly every position of need in free agency with the signing of Emmanuel Sanders and most analysts are calling for a Broncos return to the Super Bowl.

Yep, Elway is at the top of his game as an NFL executive and he is having some fun doing it.

"“Well, you always know you have to go through New England if you look at their track record the last 10 years,” said Elway. “They’re a team that you’re going to have to deal with. For us to get done what we want to get done, you’ve got to be able to get done. It’s kind of a fun arms race, and we’ll see what happens next year.”"

In what is basically a spirited game of my new free agent signing can beat up your new free agent signing, Elway seems to be looking forward to a yearly arms race with the Patriots.

Anybody think Bill Belichick is having this much fun?
