The Dallas Cowboys have been looking for defensive line help after a season plagued with injuries at the position. Combine that with the fact that the Cowboys have lost nearly every player on their defensive line to free agency this offseason, or in Jay Ratliff’s situation in the middle of last season.
They’ve been targeting Chicago Bears defensive tackle Henry Melton, who also missed a lot of time with an injury last season. That might work in the favor of the cap-strapped Cowboys who are looking for bargains on the free agency market. It also helps that Melton is a local Dallas product, born in Cedar Hill and attending Grapevine High School. That might give Melton a little extra incentive to sign a deal for a discounted rate.
