Aside from the signing of Eric Decker early on–whom we’re not still completely sure is a no. 1 wide receiver, the New York Jets have more or less had their butts handed to them in free agency this offseason. Just to name a couple of their shortfalls, they lost out on bringing star corner Darrelle Revis back and, as recently as Monday, they were not able to lure free agent DB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie away from the New York Giants.

All of this, according to NFL.com, has not left head coach Rex Ryan too pleased.

As a matter of fact, he’s flat out “pissed off.”

"“Rex is pissed,” one friend of Ryan told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News."

In reality, after everything that has gone down, he has every right to be. Last season, he had one of the worst teams in football, frankly, competitive to the point where some people were talking about backing into the playoffs. All that probably needed to be done were a few moves this past week during free agency.

Which we know ultimately did not happen.
