The New York Giants are going to have free agent cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie undergo a physical at their team facility on Monday, a move that could mean a deal is coming soon.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the former Denver Broncos cornerback is in New York and will the with the Giants all day long today.
This doesn’t mean a deal will for sure be happening, but it doesn’t hurt either. To be clear, the New York Jets also had Rodgers-Cromartie take a physical for them and no deal was signed, but all signs seems to be positive there as well. The consensus seems to be that Rodgers-Cromartie is choosing between the Jets and Giants, but there are team like the Vikings and Browns still hoping to be in play as well.
A return to Denver may not be out of the question, but it’s starting to sound like Rodgers-Cromartie won’t be leaving New York without a contract from someone.
