NFL Rumors: Jerricho Cotchery deciding between Panthers, Steelers
Veteran wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery is still trying to make a decision regarding his future.
He could re-sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers where he has played the last three seasons and is clearly comfortable or he could move on to the Carolina Panthers, according to Joe Person of The Charlotte Observer.
Person also reports that Cotchery leaving the Panthers’ facility without a contract would seem to favor the Steelers.
Cotchery was originally drafted with the 108th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. After seven seasons with the Jets, he signed with the Steelers prior to the 2011 season.
Last season, Cotchery caught 46 passes for 602 yards and a career-high 10 touchdowns.
