Real Salt Lake Player Ratings
Nick Rimando 5
A quiet day for Rimando, who only had to make one save all match. What happened to his form at the beginning of the year? #FlashInThePan?
Chris Schuler 5
In Chris Schuler’s first start for RSL, he was a clearance machine, with 17 clearances, six interceptions and six recoveries. However, he gets a massive deduction for failing to mark Robbie Keane, which is not easy, but it’s still a penalty on these ratings if you don’t.
Nat Borchers 7
80 percent pass success rate on 25 touches, 10 clearances and four recoveries. More of the same.
Chris Wingert 6
Six recoveries and 56/69 passing. Consistent form from Wingert shows itself once again.
Tony Beltran 6.5
Five recoveries and nothing else other than that, but he was solid with his passing, going 48/51.
Ned Grabavoy 6.5
27/31 passing, and he did win a few set pieces along the way but otherwise was not much of a factor and had to be subbed.
Kyle Beckerman 7
10 clearances, three tackles won, three clearances and 49/68 passing. Not as impressive as the first meeting, but Beckerman did stand tall nonetheless
Luis Gil 6
Nine recoveries and 37/48 passing, just about 75 percent.
Javier Morales 6.5
A deduction for a yellow, but Morales had seven recoveries, three tackles won, and a 66 percent pass success rate on 72 touches.
Alvaro Saborio 8
Sabo is back. However, he earns a deduction for a yellow card. Despite that, his goal is something he could have made with his eyes closed. Saborio had plenty of time to coolly slot it home because he was on an island all alone. Easy as you like. The man of the match.
Joao Plata 7
Would have been man of the match if he capitalized on another mistake from Omar Gonzalez. In the end, Plata gets a bonus for delivering an assist. However, he got shaken up due to injury and had to be subbed.
Olmes Garcia 6
Showed terrific heart in playing defense as well as offense. Good shift off the bench to relieve Plata.
Luke Mulholland 4
Three recoveries and a 77 percent passing rate on nine touches. Not the super sub that shined against San Jose. LA figured him out.
