Los Angeles Galaxy Player Ratings

Brian Perk 6

Gets a bonus for a decent performance after coming off sports hernia surgery. Only made one save all game but stood tall in filling in for Jaime Penedo. Get your visa issues worked out, Jaime…

Omar Gonzalez 5

Gonzalez should have paid the price in the second minute for failing to mark Joao Plata but Plata was unfortunate. However, he had seven clearacnes, six recoveries and 34/37 passing.

Todd Dunivant 5

Struggled with his passing, going just over 60 percent (30/49), while making five recoveries and committing two unsuccessful crosses. Not up to form yet, and that’s not good.

James Riley 4

Got hurt early in the match due to a hammy and needed to be subbed.

Dan Gargan 7

Good first impression from Gargan, although he was a bit shaky late in the match. Gargan had five recoveries, three interceptions and went 26/36 with his passing.

A.J. DeLaGarza 5

15/17 with his passing, but really got torched by the physical play from Real Salt Lake. Had to be subbed out for Leonardo.

Leonardo 4

How is Leonardo still on the Galaxy first team? This is something I continue to wonder as a FanSided columnist based in LA. Fortunately for Leonardo, he didn’t cost Los Angeles the game. The reason: he came off the bench.

Landon Donovan 6

And the hunt for history continues. Three assists, one blocked cross, a 33 percent cross success rate and 39/49 passing.

Baggio Husidic 6.5

Unlucky to open up his scoring account late in the second half. Husidic had seven recoveries, three tackles won and went 24/26 passing, which is not too bad.

Juninho 7.5

Gets a bonus for an assist to Robbie Keane. Also had eight recoveries and five interceptions, while going 44/52 passing. Much better effort is much better.

Stefan Ishizaki 6.5

This performance from Stefan Ishizaki told us a little bit more about his ability. While he gets a deductions for a yellow, Ishizaki had three recoveries, three tackles won and a 75 percent pass success rate on 24 touches.

Robbie Keane 8

Man of the Match for the equalizer and winning a 1-v-1 with Chris Schuler that is vintage Keane at his best. Could have had more, but his strike partner stunk it up.

Rob Friend 5

Bad decision-making up front late in the match cost the Galaxy all three points. That shocker in the 85th minute of play will require a short-term memory if you are Friend. A passing rate of 19/32 doesn’t help, either.

Marcelo Sarvas NR

Came into the game late, no rating given.
