The Jacksonville Jaguars have quietly put together an amazing offseason that has set them up for a nice rebound season in 2014. But while they’ve added through free agency, the fun will continue in the draft where the Jaguars are looking to once again make some sneaky moves that make them an even more solid squad this season.
Wide receiver is a position of need for the Jaguars and while guys like Mike Evans, Sammy Watkins and Marqise Lee will be on the board for them, they may have their sights set on Alabama’s Kevin Norwood.
"I wouldn’t be surprised if they sign another low-level free agent before the draft, but I expect them to draft at least one receiver, especially a bigger, physical player. One to watch, other than the obvious top names, is Alabama’s Kevin Norwood. The Jaguars coached him at the Senior Bowl and he has the size (6-foot-2, 195 pounds) the Jaguars need at the position."
Depending on what happens with their first pick, grabbing Norwood after Day 1 could be a great move, especially if he’s paired up with Watkins or Evans with their first pick. He’s been flying under the radar to casual fans, but the Jaguars worked with him at the Senior Bowl and could work him in as a sneaky sleeper hit for 2014.
