Many pundits view South Carolina Gamecocks’ defensive end Jadeveon Clowney as the best prospect in the upcoming NFL Draft.
Clowney had a fantastic sophomore season at South Carolina in 2012. Clowney had 13 sacks and after closing the season with 4.5 sacks in a 27-17 win over the rival Clemson Tigers and forcing a fumble with a bone-jarring hit that was shown on ESPN for the entire offseason nearly every day to set up the game-winning touchdown in a 33-28 victory over the Michigan Wolverines in the Outback Bowl, he was proclaimed a super prospect and a sure top overall pick.
Clowney had just three sacks this season and even missed a game due to an injury, causing many to sour on him.
However, he still could be the top pick and Bill O’Brien, the Houston Texans’ head coach, is looking forward to seeing Clowney at South Carolina’s Pro Day next week.
Bill O'Brien plans to attend Jadeveon Clowney's pro day on April 2nd. Said they had a good talk at Combine, looking to talk more. #Texans
