Adrian Peterson’s new commercial shows All-Pro’s work ethic
By Shaun Church
Minnesota Vikings All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson made a commercial with Hyperice, a cold-therapy compression system used for training, muscle recovery and rehabilitation. His words will leave you with a deeper understanding of just how hard NFL players work to do what they do. (Thanks to Kiley Kmiec of NextImpulseSports.com for the link.)
"I’ve always been a competitor, and I feel that is what has made me who I am today. What people don’t see is the work that [other players] put in—the work ethic and the mindset it takes to be able to go through some of the stuff that you go through to push your body. […]You’d be amazed at what your body can do when you push it."
The commercial shows Peterson as he goes through a rigorous workout. He talks about keeping his body in tip-top shape, even giving mention to former NFL greats Terrell Davis and Marshall Faulk as those who have given him longevity advice.
Peterson has returned to his old self since tearing ligaments in his knee late in the 2011 season. He fell just nine yards shy of breaking Eric Dickerson’s single-season record in 2012, rushing for 2,097 yards and 12 touchdowns. He has scored at least 10 rushing touchdowns in all seven seasons as a pro.
