Much like Julius Peppers, who moved from the Chicago Bears to the Green Bay Packers, Jared Allen is staying in the NFC North this season. He is just playing for another team, and a hated one at that.
Hours after Allen signed a four-year contract to play with the Chicago Bears, he thanked his former teammates and coaches but he didn’t forget the fans.
"“Perhaps more importantly I would like to thank the fans and the Minnesota community,” said Allen. “I can only hope that I have left with you all with even a fraction of the positive support and impact you have had on my life, my foundation and my family. I am very excited about this next chapter in my career with the Chicago Bears and can’t wait to see what the future holds for us. God bless.”"
Allen will surely get a warm welcome from Vikings fans when he is introduced next year in an away game at Minnesota, but that will probably only last until his first sack.
