MLB Network receives 13 Emmy Award nominations

MLB Network today received 13 Sports Emmy Award nominations for 2013, the highest number of nominations in its history, giving the network a total of 50 Sports Emmy Award nominations since its launch in 2009.
Some of the more notable nominations included MLB Tonight, which won the Sports Emmy for Outstanding Studio Show – Daily in 2012, 2011 and 2010.
Bob Costas also received his second nomination in the Outstanding Sports Personality – Play-by-Play category for his work on MLB Network. Al Leiter, Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci each earned nominations in the Outstanding Sports Personality – Studio Analyst category.
