LeGarrette Blount was fantastic for the New England Patriots last season.
After Stevan Ridley had trouble holding on to the ball, fumbling multiple times, the Patriots turned to Blount, who was acquired from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a deal involving Jeff Demps.
In the postseason, Blount had perhaps his best performance as a pro. In a 43-22 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, he finished with 166 yards and four touchdowns on 24 carries.
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the market for Blount and other backs should open up soon.
RB market coming into some focus. Moreno moving closer to deal w/Miami. Blount to visit PIT Thurs/Fri: NE interested in him as well ...

The Steelers are still interested in former Jacksonville Jaguars’ running back Maurice Jones-Drew and have had him in for a visit. If the Steelers sign Jones-Drew, it is probably safe to assume that would pave the way for Blount’s return to New England.
