The Houston Rockets received what could be devastating news on Friday.
With just 11 games left before the playoffs begin, the Rockets have likely lost starting point guard Patrick Beverley for the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

Beverley will seek second opinion, where it'll be determined if there's rehab scenario where he could return in playoffs -- or miss season.

Beverley has blossomed into a solid starting point guard for the Rockets and has become a local fan favorite because of his hustle plays and his ability to turn “50-50 balls” in the Rockets’ favor.
On the season, Beverley is averaging 9.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals in 31.3 minutes per game.
He will be replaced in the lineup by veteran Jeremy Lin.
Lin, who is averaging 12.4 points, 4.2 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 28.8 minutes per game, was signed before last season to be the starter.
