Houston Rockets’ center Dwight Howard has played in the Rockets’ last two games after missing the previous three with an ankle injury.
It looks like Howard will not be in action when his Rockets take on the Los Angeles Clippers in a huge Western Conference showdown Saturday night.
Ralph Lawler, the Los Angeles Clippers’ play-by-play man, reports Howard will be out for 10 days.
Just talked to Dwight Howard. Says he will not play next 10 days due to L Ankle. Clippers meet Rockets tonight @ 5 on Prime Ticket.

Jonathan Feigen of The Houston Chronicle has not heard the same.
Ralph Lawler tweeted that Dwight said he'll be out for 10 days. Rox trainer Keith Jones said he's not been told that. Another exam tonight.

Rockets still list Howard as "a game-time decision." He said he is out. They have not. As Howard said being 100 % for pllayoffs is priority.

Lawler could certainly be correct – the Rockets obviously want to make sure Howard is 100% for the playoffs.
Howard is averaging 18.5 points, 12.3 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.8 assists for the Rockets this season.
