Since parting ways with the Titans, Britt has visited and talked with several teams around the league. The Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots and Washington Redskins all reportedly showed great interest in Britt, but the Rams always seemed like the favorite.
The Rams are coached by former Titans’ head coach Jeff Fisher, who was the coach when the team drafted Britt. The Titans selected him with the 30th overall pick in the first round and the former Rutgers Scarlet Knight’s star showed flashes of his potential immediately.
As a rookie, he had 42 receptions for 701 yards and three touchdowns. A year later, he played in just 12 games, but again caught 42 balls, this time for 775 yards and nine touchdowns.
Injuries and problems both on and off of the field have derailed his career and Britt had just 11 receptions for 96 yards in 12 games last season.
