Monday, free-agent wide receiver DeSean Jackson made a visit to the Washington Redskins, owner Dan Snyder and new head coach Jay Gruden. This is the first of what is expected to be a few visits since his abrupt release from the Philadelphia Eagles, however Ian Rapoport is reporting that there’s also a chance it could be the last.
On the NFL Network Tuesday, Rapoport confirmed that there is a very good chance the Redskins and Jackson could have something locked up by Tuesday.
"Appearing on “NFL Total Access” Tuesday, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport confirmed the Redskins do have a chance to “seal the deal” if they can reach agreement by Tuesday afternoon."
This potential union was interesting when it was first reported, but it’s started to make a lot of sense along the way. He would get two chances per year to stick it to the Eagles after he was shown the door, plus he and Robert Griffin III seem as if they would have tremendous chemistry on offense.
Whatever the case may be, we might know a final answer some time within the next 24 hours.
