It was a bit out of the norm to hear on Tuesday night that top quarterback prospect Johnny Manziel will visit with the New England Patriots on Wednesday. Well, it seems that the Pats have already dabbled a bit into the famous quarterback pool as Albert Breer is reporting that they recently went out to Orlando to pay a visit to UCF product, Blake Bortles.

Breer would later go on to say that the chances are very slim that the Pats could land either of these two, as both are expected to be off the board withing the top-10 picks, which is what makes the fact that they’re taking an interest in the top quarterbacks so intriguing.

We’ve seen before that the Patriots know better than anyone how to play the NFL Draft like the ultimate chess match, and Tom Brady isn’t getting any younger.
