Restricted free-agent cornerback Chris Harris has signed his tender with the Denver Broncos and will be staying in the Mile High City for at least one more season, the team announced on their website Tuesday afternoon.
After signing the deal, Harris expressed how happy he is that the process is now over, and he can spend one more year with the Super Bowl favorites.
"“I’m just glad to get it over with and be able to know I’ll be here one more year,” Harris said after signing the contract. “I’m definitely happy. This is where I want to be and to be able to play here another year, I’m all in to be a leader on the defense and get us back to the Super Bowl.”"
This is tremendous news for the team, especially with the recent signing of Aqib Talib. Harris will start on the opposite side, and the Broncos defense should be one of the best in the entire league next season, given all the changes that have been made this offseason.
