The Cleveland Browns have been surprisingly absent from most of the major quarterback workouts so far in the offseason, including missing each of the workouts of the perceived top three (Blake Bortles of the Central Florida Knights, Teddy Bridgewater of the Louisville Cardinals and Johnny Manziel of the Texas A&M Aggies).
However, it looks like the Browns are about to get serious about their quarterback research. This week they will work out Bortles, Bridgewater, Eastern Illinois’ Jimmy Garoppolo, Pittsburgh’s Tom Savage and Ball State’s Keith Wenning.
Mortenson also reports the Browns will check out Manziel in the next few weeks.
