We’ve officially heard out first ‘you can’t teach height’ cliche of the NFL Draft and it comes courtesy of the New York Jets. While it’s probably been said in the recent past as well, the Jets have busted out the cliche to describe their interest in Florida State Seminoles receiver Kelvin Benjamin.

It’s not surprising that the Jets are obsessing over tall receivers because they’ve been obsessing over offensive weapons ever since they realized they didn’t have any. This offseason they’ve added Michael Vick, Eric Decker and Jacoby Ford and will almost certainly be adding a third receiver.

Call it overcompensating or call it getting better but the Jets are looking more and more serious about adding a receiver in the first-round and they apparently like Kelvin Benjamin a lot.
